PBMC Appeals to Citizens to Keep Separate Bins for Segregated Waste

Port Blair, April 13: The Port Blair Municipal Council (PBMC) has already implemented door to door collection of segregated waste to achieve 100% processing of waste by means of waste transportation & proper disposal mechanism.

All concerned household Govt. & Pvt./Institutions and other establishments including banks, shops and schools are requested to kindly keep at least 02 bins for segregated dry & wet waste & 01 bag for hazardous waste in their  premises/establishments to support our municipal workers for further segregation in an effective manner. 

Port Blair, April 13: In continuation of the District Administration’s drive to reach doorsteps of citizen, Shri Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner (SA)/SDM (SA) visited the rural areas of Manglutan and Chouldhari village. The team requested public aged 45+ to take COVID vaccination to fight against the COVID -19 pandemic.

Port Blair, April 13: The A & N Administration is putting its best effort to protect the Islanders and curtail the spread of the COVID-19 virus in A&N Islands. Addressing a press conference today in the conference hall of IP&T, the Secretary, IP&T, Shri Sunil Kumar Singh remarked that it is the collective responsibility of everyone to motivate the citizens aged 45 plus to come forward and get the vaccination at their nearest Vaccination Centres. Doctors from GB Pant Hospital viz. Dr. Munni Singhania, Deputy Director, Medical and Dr. Amitabha De, Deputy Director, Malaria were present during the press conference.
