Port Blair, Oct. 23: In compliance of section 25 of the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act 1974, no person shall, without the previous consent of the State Board, establish or take any steps to establish any industry, operation or process, or any treatment and disposal system or an extension or addition thereto, which is likely to discharge sewage or trade effluent into a stream or well or sewer or on land.

Port Blair, Oct. 23: No COVID positive case has been detected today in A&N Islands. Today, 15 flights with 2643 passengers arrived, out of which, 2339 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 240 passengers and the reports are awaited.

Port Blair, Oct. 23: As part of weeklong activities of commemoration of anniversary of establishment of Provisional Govt. of Azad Hind (PGI), a quiz competition was conducted by the Department of Art & Culture, A&N Administration at Govt. Middle School Humfrygunj. The host school team bagged the first prize whereas GSSS Manglutan was the first runner up and second runner up was Middle School Manglutan. A play in the style of nukkad natak was presented by the students of SSS Manglutan in their school campus. The students and teachers actively took part in all activities.
