Transport Department Cautions Vehicle Owners
Port Blair, Oct. 3: It is a prevalent practice amongst vehicle owners to ply their other State registered vehicles in A&N Islands without informing the Transport Department, A&N Islands which is violation of the provision of MV Act. In the absence of data on such vehicles, Transport Department finds it difficult to trace the details, especially in the event of an accident or other untoward incident.

Port Blair, Oct. 3: In recent past, the Complete Blood Count (CBC) Test was stopped at GB Pant Hospital, Port Blair due to machines going out of order and delays in getting the required consumables for the test from mainland. The same has now been resumed from 1st October 2022 for indoor patients.

Bike Rally Flagged Off as Part of the Inauguration
Port Blair, Oct. 3: Every year the wildlife week is celebrated from 2nd to 8th October coinciding with the birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The aim of celebrating wildlife week starting from the birthday of the Father of our Nation is to symbolize empathy towards the wildlife, which has no voice of its own.

Port Blair, Oct. 3: Heavy rain (07-11 cm) & thunderstorm with lightning is likely to occur at one or two places over Nicobar Islands on Oct. 5 & 6. Heavy rain (07-11 cm) is likely to occur at one or two places over A&N Islands on Oct. 7. Meanwhile, due to squally weather, wind speed exceeding 45 kmph is likely to prevail over Andaman Sea along and off Andaman & Nicobar coasts. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea from Oct. 5 to 7.
