All Tourism Activities in A&N Islands Suspended for Another Four Weeks
Port Blair, May 20: After reviewing the prevailing COVID situation in Isles, all tourism activities in Andaman & Nicobar Islands ie. National Memorial Cellular Jail, Port Blair and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Island including the sound and light show at both the places, all museums, all beaches, Baratang Caves, all water sports activities and any other tourism activities in all three Districts of Andaman & Nicobar Islands shall remain suspended for another 04 weeks and it has come into effect from today (May 20), said the Secretary, IP&T, Shri Sunil Kumar Singh addressing a press conference today.

Port Blair, May 20: The District Administration in its continuous efforts to provide relief and assistance to the people during the pandemic has taken various pro-active steps to ensure that people feel secure and safe. In this connection the District Administration took first hand stock of the situation in containment zones, functioning of Primary Health Centre at Tushnabad and distributed ration kits to daily wage earners at Wimberlygunj and Kanyapuram in collaboration with NGO.

App to Enable Many Online Services for Driving License Related Activities
Port Blair, May 20: It has been the endeavor of A & N Administration to deliver better quality of services to the Citizen and continuously improve it for enhancing the quality of lives. In this direction, Transport Department towards providing improved services to the citizen, took a historic step and shifted its Driving License related activities from “SARATHI 2.0” to “SARATHI 4.0” software version. To minimize physical visits to office and to make most of the transaction online, the SARATHI 4.0 application has been launched by Shri G Sudhakar, Secretary (Transport) in the presence of Dr. Aom Dhole, Director (Transport) on 20.05.2021.

Port Blair, May 20: The internal distribution of Oxygen Cylinders within various wards of GB Pant Hospital, Port Blair shall be looked after by D. P. Lal, Nodal Officer, AB-PMJAY and he shall submit a daily report of the previous day on the ward –wise distribution by 10 am every day, an order issued by Dr. V. Candavelou, Commr-cum-Secretary (Health) said here.
