Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 8: A case vide FIR No. 150/24 dated 01/10/2024 u/s 109/118(1) BNS 2023 has been registered at PS Pahargaon in which one Robin Haldar had attacked a lady with a machete at Garcharma with the intent to kill her and had run away from the spot. The lady sustained serious injuries.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 8: The Andaman Nicobar Chess Association (ANCA) will conduct Selection Trials for the National Under-09 and Under-13 Chess Championships to select players to represent the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The Selection trials will be held on November 23rd and 24th, 2024, at the ANCA Chess Centre, Dairy Farm (tentative location).

Car Nicobar, Nov. 8: The Education Department, Car Nicobar, has organized a vibrant Zonal Level Science, Maths, Arts, and Craft Exhibition at Priyadarshini Auditorium, Tamaloo, Car Nicobar today. The exhibition was inaugurated by the chief guest, Ms. Jyoti Kumari, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of Nicobar District while Shri Lionald Nicomede, Chairman of the Tribal Council was the guest of honor. In a ceremonial start, the chief guest lit the traditional lamp, signalling the beginning of a showcase of creativity and innovation by the young minds of the District.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov 8: : The SBI Foundation recently held the valediction ceremony for the 11th batch of the SBI Youth for India Fellowship at SBILD Panaji, Goa. This event celebrated the culmination of a 13-month journey for 53 young Fellows from across India, with an impressive 60% female participation. The program’s alumni base now comprises over 580 Fellows, of whom 70% have continued to work in the development sector, significantly contributing to the nation’s social development priorities.
