Port Blair, Nov. 29: The Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has congratulated Islands’ cyclist Mr. David Beckham for clinching Gold medal in International UCI C2 competition and Bronze medal in Keirin event representing India at Portugal. He also congratulated Mr. Esow Alban for winning the Silver medal for India.

Port Blair, Nov. 29: Andaman State Committee, of All India Kerala Muslim Cultural Centre, an Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) affiliated organization held its first general council meet and Palliative Care Awareness Programme in a function held at CeePee’s Dawath Mahal, Wimberlygunj, South Andaman on 28th November, 2021. The meet was supported by Shihab Thangal Centre for Humanity. Shri M P Abdul Rasheed, (Social Worker), Director, Ration Rasheed Foundation was also felicitated during the function for the works done by him towards the needy persons during the outbreak of COVID. Rasheed expressed his sincere gratitude towards all the members of the Committee.

Port Blair, Nov. 29: As per data available, a total of 5,51,167 doses of vaccines have been administered so far in A&N Islands, out of the target beneficiaries of 2,81,603 (approx.). A total of 1,75,637 eligible people in the age group of 18 to 44 years have been vaccinated till date. A total of 2046 people were vaccinated today in A&N Islands.

Port Blair, Nov. 29: As part of ‘Zero Tolerance’ towards encroachment, the District Administration, South Andaman District carried out eviction drives today against encroachments committed over Government land in South Andaman District and restored an area of approximately 30,000 Sq. Mtrs of Government land into Government Khata. These eviction drives were conducted in Teylerabad village and Bimlitan village of Port Blair Tehsil. Till date, altogether 3, 23,170 Sq Mtrs of Government land has been restored from encroachers in South Andaman District.

Port Blair, Nov. 28: The Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Andaman & Nicobar Islands to earmark a proper swimming area at Wandoor, Chidiyatapu and Corbyn’s Cove beaches with double safety netting for tourists and local residents, so that safe swimming can be opened in these three prominent beaches.
