Port Blair, Nov. 28: The District Administration in its drive against encroachment on Government revenue land in the South Andaman District has been carrying out eviction drives.

In this connection unauthorised occupation in an area measuring 2000 sq. mtrs out of Sy. No 203/P, situated at Teylorabad village under Port Blair Tehsil in the shape of plantation comprising coconut and temporary fencing has been removed today by the revenue officials of Port Blair Tehsil and same has been restored in favour of Revenue Department.

Port Blair, Nov. 28: The Port Blair Municipal Council along with Walk for Plastic, YBSSCT, True Vision Foundation, Ration Rasheed Foundation, ACCI and MES Builders Association organised a Cleanliness Drive at Bengali Club Bus stand. Wild creepers and numerous amount of non-degradable, plastic, glasses and ceramic wastes were cleared during the drive.

Dr. P.K. Mandal, Dilip Kumar Das, Maharaj, Jeet Halder, Nepal Bhatta, members of Hindu Rastra Shakti and villagers ( Jaipur, Middle Andaman) express deep sadness at the passing away of Smti Parul Biswas aged 76 yrs,  Mother of  Shri Rabin Biswas ( Executive member HRS) on 27.11.2021 at 0315 PM. May her soul rest in peace.

Port Blair, Nov. 28: The last date for submission of online application forms for admission to Two Years B.Ed. Degree Programme for the academic session 2021-22 in Tagore Government College of Education, Port Blair has been extended up to 7th December 2021 as requested by Principal, JNRM, Port Blair due to non-receipts of results from Pondicherry University. Desirous candidates can now submit their online application up to 7th December 2021 via URL http://collegeadmission.andaman.gov.in.

Suggests Increasing the Number of Convoys

Port Blair, Nov. 26: The Member of Parliament, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary of Andaman & Nicobar Administration to resume 6.00 AM convoy and also to increase the number of Convoy from Jirkatang to Middle Strait to four.
