Port Blair, June 5: The District Child Protection Unit under the District Administration, South Andaman in collaboration with Gram Panchayat Sippighat celebrated World Environment Day today at Community Hall, Sippighat.

The Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman Shri Suneel Anchipaka, IAS graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Smti Sarika Devi, Member Zila Parishad. Smti. Jyothi, Pradhan, GP Sippighat and the BDO Prothrapur were also present during the program.

Port Blair, June 5: On the occasion of World Environment Day, the Civil Engineering Department of DBRAIT under Institute Innovative Council and ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ campaign organised a workshop on "Only One Earth", which is the theme of current World Environment Day. The students of 1st to 4th year participated in the worksho voluntarily.

Port Blair, June 4: During the RT-PCR test conducted on 233 passengers who arrived here yesterday, no positive case has been detected. Today, 13 flights with 1828 passengers arrived, out of which, 1539 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 234 passengers and the reports are awaited.   

Port Blair, June 5: The Middle Andaman Area Committee of CPI (M) conducted corner meetings and mike announcement on 31st May 2022 at different parts of Middle Andaman on various issues concerning the people in general and those living in Middle Andaman.  

Port Blair, June 4: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,81,869 doses of vaccine have been administered to beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above so far. Similarly, 23,540 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 yrs. and 12,731 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 12 to 14 yrs. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 25610.
