Port Blair, June 28: Acting tough on bootlegging, South Andaman District Special Police have registered three excise cases in a single day and arrested three persons on 26th June, 2020 and seized 82 bottles of IMFL.

The District Special Police Team comprising SI M. Abdul Rasheed, ASI Surya Narayan, constables M. Santosh Kumar, Bipul Haldar and Nandita Mistry headed by Inspector Sanjay Kumar, SHO Aberdeen and SI Mithun Kirtania, SHO (I/C) PS Pahargaon conducted raids at Kamraj Nagar and Dairy Farm respectively. During the raid, 82 bottles of IMFL were seized and arrested three persons namely (1) B. Muniyaswamy (37) yr. (2) Ramesh (24) yrs. both R/o Kamraj Nagar & (3) M. Murugan (41) yrs. R/o Dairy Farm after observing codal formalities and accordingly cases have been registered under Excise Regulation in respective Police Stations.

The entire raid took place under the supervision of Shri. Narra Chaitanya, IPS SDPO (South Andaman) and under the overall direction and supervision of Shri Manoj C., IPS, Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District. The general public is requested to share information pertaining to any crime or other illegal activities to police at 100, 112 & 03192-233077. The identity of the informant will be kept secret.
