Port Blair, Dec. 17: In view of the increase in arrival of tourists in the islands and subsequent increase in demand for Govt. ferry tickets for Swaraj Dweep and Shaheed Dweep, the DC South Andaman, Shri. Suneel Anchipaka convened a meeting of all tour operators associations today. After giving a patient hearing to the concerns of the tour operators, the DCSA immediately took the decision to sail an extra ship for Swaraj Dweep Island from 19th December onwards.
Shri. M. Vinod, President AATO has expressed gratitude to DC South Andaman, Shri. Suneel Anchipaka for his prompt decision to increase government ferries for Shaheed & Swaraj Dweep to cater to the increasing demand of ferry tickets during the peak tourist season.
