Port Blair, Dec. 18: The Rashtriya Raksha University, Gujarat, India became Member of International Association of Police Academies (INTERPA) during the 9th Annual INTERPA Conference which was held in this month. The theme of the Conference held in virtual mode from Ankara, Turkey was ‘Challenges of Police Academies for Near Future’.

Founded in the year 2011, the Association has a worldwide presence and was established for cooperation in police training among police academies or equivalent institutions. The INTERPA welcomed the University with unanimous support from all members after a presentation was made by Prof. (Dr.) Bimal N. Patel, Vice Chancellor, Rashtriya Raksha University, an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India. He was accompanied by Dr. Akshat Mehta, University Dean.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Rashtriya Raksha University has been recently elevated to ‘An Institution of National Importance’ and is a pioneering National Security and Police University of India.
