Port Blair, Aug 27: The Government of India with a view to augment the income of the farmers, launched the Central Sector Scheme- ‘Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi’ (PM-KISAN) during the financial year of 2018-19 which is 100% funded by Govt. of India. Under the Scheme, eligible farmer families receive financial benefits of Rs. 6000/- per year payable in 3 equal installments of Rs. 2000/- each, every four months.
Till now, 14 Installments have been released by the GoI. The 14th Installment was released by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi on 27th July, 2023 directly to the bank accounts of the PM-KISAN beneficiaries. For smooth transfer of benefits of 15th Installment for the period August -November, the Govt. of India has made the following mandatory requirement which is to be completed by 30th September, 2023:
- e-KYC is completed
- Land details is entered in PM-KISAN portal
- Bank account is seeded with Aadhaar
Therefore, all eligible PM-KISAN beneficiaries who have so far not done their land seeding, e-KYC and Bank Account seeding with Aadhaar have been requested to complete the process before the scheduled date. It is further informed that if the above mandatory requirements are not done, then the beneficiaries will not be eligible to get the benefits of 15th Installment.
For any query/doubt related to land seeding, bank account seeding & e-KYC, the beneficiaries can also contact the concerned Zonal Agriculture Office/ Field Extension functionaries of Agriculture Department. Farmers have been advised to use only the official website of PM-KISAN portal & PM-KISAN App and not to download any other App for e-KYC authentication.
