Port Blair, Sept. 13: The Directorate of Shipping Services has announced the commencement of a daily ferry service that will seamlessly connect Port Blair, Swaraj Dweep and Long Island. This new initiative aims to enhance accessibility for both tourists and local residents. The A&N Islands are renowned for their stunning natural beauty and pristine beaches. However, limited transportation options have sometimes hindered the movement of tourists and residents among these idyllic destinations. Recognizing this need, the Directorate of Shipping Services has introduced this new daily ferry service to cater to the growing demand for improved connectivity.

This service will offer tourists and local residents alike the opportunity to travel effortlessly between Port Blair, Swaraj Dweep, and Long Island. The enhanced connectivity is expected to boost tourism in these Islands. Further, the introduction of this daily ferry service marks a significant milestone for the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, aligning with the Government's vision to promote tourism and improve regional connectivity.

The Directorate of Shipping Services will be operating the daily ferry services between Port Blair, Swaraj Dweep & Long Island as per the following sailing schedule which will come into force with effect from 1st October, 2023.

Departure - Port Blair - 0800 Hrs

Arrival - 1015 Hrs - Swaraj Dweep. Departure - 1030 Hrs

Arrival - 1230 Hrs - Long Island. Departure - 1245 Hrs

Arrival - 1445 Hrs - Swaraj Dweep. Deaparture- 1500 Hrs

Arrival 1715 Hrs - Port Blair
