Port Blair, Sept. 13: The PS Pahargaon team, in pursuit of its unwavering commitment to maintaining public safety and security has made a significant breakthrough in the recent Burglary case. Through diligent investigative work and swift action, they have not only arrested the suspect but also successfully recovered all stolen gold ornaments.

On 29th August 2023, a FIR vide No. 155/2023 dated 29/08/2023 was registered at the PS Pahargaon, U/s 454/380 IPC, pertaining to the theft of valuable gold ornaments and cash. The case was assigned to Sub-Inspector Manish Narayan of PS Pahargaon for investigation.

A dedicated team from PS Pahargaon led by Sub-Inspector Manish Narayan, comprising Police Constables Jagdish Babu, Surender Singh Yadav, and Santosh Lall, under the vigilant supervision of Inspector Mariam, the Incharge of PS Pahargaon, worked relentlessly to identify the perpetrator. Intensive search operations were conducted in the area, which eventually led to the identification of the suspect, Mr. G. Kumar, S/o late Govind Raj, aged 25, residing at New Bimblitan.

Following the identification of the suspect, Mr. G. Kumar was subjected to thorough interrogation, during which he confessed to the theft and disclosed that he had hidden the stolen gold ornaments in the garden behind his rented house. The suspect was promptly taken into custody.

In a further breakthrough, Mr. G. Kumar revealed that he had mortgaged several gold ornaments at local finance shops. These ornaments were swiftly recovered and seized by the police.

Notably, a 100% recovery of the stolen gold ornaments has been achieved in this case, showcasing the dedication and effectiveness of the Pahargaon Police.
