South Andaman District to Organise Ayushman Bhavah Campaign from Sept. 17

Port Blair, Sept. 15: The achievement of Sustainable Development Goals 2030 requires village level action, through Localizing Sustainable Development Goal (LSDG) as a multi-ministerial initiative of Government of India. The LSDG involves, ‘Healthy Village’ being one of the initiatives and core component of the Panchayat Development.

In order to achieve the above goal, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has launched ‘Ayushman Bhav’ campaign which was inaugurated by the Hon’ble President of India on 13th Sept, 2023. Accordingly, District level Ayushman Bhavah campaign under South Andaman was also launched as the initiative under the campaign for enhanced awareness about various health care schemes and to saturate critical health care services in rural and urban areas with following three major components to be carried out under the banner of “Seva Pakwada” from 17th Sept to 02nd October, 2023:

Activities from 17th September to 02nd October, 2023:

1) Ayushman Apke Dwar 3.0 –

  • The State level and District level Ayushman Bharat online training to Doctors & paramedical staffs of all health centres have been imparted for creation of Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) Cards. It provides a cover of Rs. 5 lakhs per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization across public and private empanelled hospitals in India.
  • The respective Health Centre’s paramedical staffs shall create and issue PMJAY cards during the campaign at health centres & village level to the eligible beneficiaries such as, registered beneficiaries and also register the Priority House Hold (PHH) & Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) Ration Card holders, who have also become eligible under PMJAY scheme.

2) Ayushman Mela –

  • Specialist Health Camp will be conducted at CHC Bambooflat on 17.09.2023(Sunday) in coordination with the Medical College (ANIIMS) to provide specialist services in Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics & Surgery.
  • Specialist Health Camp will be conducted at PHC Swaraj Dweep on 28.09.2023 (Thursday) in coordination with the Medical College (ANIIMS) to provide specialist services in Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics & Surgery.
  • All Health & Wellness Centres (10 Primary Health Centres, 05 Urban Health Centres & 39 Sub Centres), 72 Village Health Sanitation Committees (VHSCs) under rural area and 25 Mahila Arogya Samitis (MAS) under urban area of South Andaman District will conduct weekly health mela mainly to focus on optimizing utilization of health care services and awareness generation.
  • Ayushman Mela includes the other components:

o Non Communicable Decease (NCD) clinic

o Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) IDs generation and link with RCH (pregnant women) & NCD portal.

o Swachhta Abhiyan

o Organ Donation Pledge Drive

o Blood donation camp

o Tele-consultation

o OPD with drugs & diagnostics

o Ayushman cards generation & distribution

o Identification of left out cases of Immunization & immunize them in the Mission Indradhanush campaign.

o TB patient identification and Nikhshay Mitra registration for nutritional of TB patients.

o Yoga & Wellness Sessions.

o Awareness activities on all national health programmes and schemes.

3) Ayushman Sabha:

Special village level Sabha (Gram Sabha) for rural areas and Ward Sabha for urban areas led by Village Health Sanitation and Nutrition Committee (VHSNC) and Mahila Arogya Samitis(MAS) will be conducted on 2nd October, 2023at all Panchayats & Municipal Wards to

enhance awareness about various health care schemes and services including Ayushman cards, ABHA IDs, Immunization, RCH, NCD, TB patient identification etc.

All general public are requested to avail the benefits of Ayushman Bahavah campaign at their doorsteps and the eligible beneficiaries may bring their valid documents such as Ration Card, Aadhaar Card & other Ids for registration under ABHA, PM-JAY, NCD clinic etc.
