Port Blair, Sept. 22: The Andaman & Nicobar Police has done on-boarding of almost all its police personnel on the Integrated Government Online Training (iGOT) Karmayogi Bharat Portal, an initiative of DoPT, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Government of India.
Andaman and Nicobar Police is committed to leveraging modern technology and innovative solutions to enhance the capabilities of its personnel, for better service delivery. This initiative is a testament to its commitment to empower dedicated officers and personnel with the latest skills and knowledge, required for Citizen Centric Policing law enforcement in the present and also to make it future ready. The A&N Police believe that investing in the capacity building of its officers and personnel is fundamental to maintaining a safe and secure environment in the Islands.
The iGOT Karmayogi Portal is a pioneering digital platform developed to provide continuous learning and development opportunities to Government Employees across the nation. As on date, the portal contains a total of 685 Courses for the Government Employees and the courses are provided by domain experts, esteemed educational institutes and Government Organizations like Indian School of Business, Ministry of Power, Indian Institute of Public Administration, IIMB, Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education, Border Road Organization, Department of Rural Development, Department of Telecommunications, Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre-I4C, Quality Council of India, etc. The number of courses and modules are being further augmented on the portal regularly for the benefit of learners.
The integration of iGOT Karmayogi into its training ecosystem aligns with a mission to uphold the law, protect the community and create a safer future for all. By adopting the services and facilities of the portal, the A&N is taking a significant step towards enhancing the competencies of its workforce and ensuring that they are well-prepared to serving the community.
iGOT has been successfully integrated in the training module of A&N Police and training sessions have been conducted by Police Training School (PTS), Prothrapur for police personnel of Andaman & Nicobar Police to familiarize them with the iGOT Karmayogi portal.
