Port Blair, Sept. 28: The exhilarating DGP Cup Badminton Tournament, featuring a staggering 10 different categories and a total of 90 matches played in over 10 days, concluded in a spectacular one-day event. The closing ceremony was a celebration of sportsmanship, dedication, and outstanding athleticism.

The tournament, organized under the guidance of the Deputy Inspector General of Police, A&N Police, Ms. Monika Bhardwaj, witnessed intense competition as players from police department gave their all to clinch victory in their respective categories.

The DGP Cup Badminton Tournament included categories for men's and women's singles, men's and women's doubles, mixed doubles, under 19 and under 13 and more. This wide array of categories showcased the inclusive nature of the event.

With 90 matches played in span of 10 days, participants displayed unwavering determination and skill, making every match a thrilling spectacle. The level of competition was a testament to the dedication of the players.

The welcome address was delivered by DIGP L&O Ms. Monika Bharadwaj followed by an inspiring speech by the DGP A&NI Shri Devesh Chandra Srivastva commending the participants for their dedication and commitment to sports. The DGP emphasized the importance of such events in promoting a healthy lifestyle and fostering a sense of community among law enforcement personnel.
