Port Blair, Oct. 5: Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Government of India is implementing three scholarship schemes for students with disabilities: (a) Pre-matric scholarships for Class IX and X (b) Post-matric scholarships for Class XI to Post-graduation (c) Scholarship for Top Class Education for Graduate/Post Graduate Degree/Diploma through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) (www.scholarships.gov.in)

The registration of students on the portal has commenced from 1^st October, 2023. The last date for registration and submission of applications on the portal for pre-matric is 30^th November, 2023 and Post-matric and Top Class Education is 31^st December, 2023.

Students with disabilities have been requested to see the details of these schemes on the website of the Department for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (www.depwd.gov.in) and apply online, if they are eligible, within the stipulated dates.
