Port Blair, Oct. 15: The A&N State Sub Junior (Under 15) Chess Championship 2023 organised by Andaman Nicobar Chess Association (ANCA) which began on 14th October 2023 concluded today successfully with prize distribution ceremony at Hotel TSG Emerald View, Phoenix Bay, Port Blair.

For the first time in the history of A&N Islands, the chess games of the tournament were made live successfully by using Digital Chess Boards through Digital Game Technology Live platform where chess enthusiast can view the chess games live through a link @ https://view.livechesscloud.com

Dr. Avijith Roy, Deputy Director, Directorate of Health Services, A&N Administration was the Chief guest for the closing ceremony while Shri. G Bhasker, patron ANCA was the guest honour. They gave away the prizes & certificates to the winners of the championship.

More than 130 players had participated passionately in the two-day Championship in which the following chess players have been selected as per the final standings of the championship to represent A&N Islands in the upcoming  National Sub Junior under 15 Chess Championship 2023 scheduled to be held in Maharashtra during the month of December 2023.

Apart from Under 15 Category, the best youngest players of the championship each in boys and girls were also awarded to M Lavish a class I, student of Kamraj EM School and K Hemanshi a class I student of Carmel Sr. Sec. School Port Blair respectively.
