Port Blair, Oct. 16: The Andaman & Nicobar Pradesh Youth Congress organized a One Day Volleyball Knockout Tournament on the 15th of October 2023 at Young Brothers Club Ground, Dairy Farm.
The tournament was organized under the supervision of Youth Congress State President Ms. Diksha Dular and Youth Congress State Vice-President Shri. Abhibhushan Ghosh and was sponsored by TSG Hotels & Resorts.
A total of 13 teams participated in the tournament. The final match was tough, extremely challenging and enthralled the audiences with great performances by players from both the teams.
The finals were graced by the ANTCC President Shri. Rangalal Halder, ANTCC Campaign Committee Chairman Shri. TSG Bhasker, ANTCC Spokesperson Shri. A. Tamilselvan, Senior Congress Leader Shri. Saji Varghese, Block Congress President Shri. Shakti Velu, Councillor Ward no. 15 Shri. Padmanabhan, Councillor Ward no. 14 Shri. Y. Joga Rao, Ex- State Secretary Youth Congress Shri. Sadab Riaz (Sunny) and Programme Coordinator TSG Foundation Shri. Ameer Bux.
In the final match, Team Seva Bharat emerged as the winner of the tournament by defeating Team Garacharma.
The aim of the tournament was to encourage the youths to participate in sports which will boost the bond among them and in turn strengthen them physically and emotionally.
Shri. Rangalal Halder and Shri. TSG Bhasker appreciated the efforts of Pradesh Youth Congress for organising the Volleyball Tournament. They also gave away trophies and cash prizes to the winning and runner-up teams.
