Port Blair, Oct. 20: The Andaman Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee President Shri. Rangalal Halder highlighted the issues pertaining to the shortage of doctors and nurse staff at the Chemo and Immunotherapy unit of GB Pant Hospital.

Addressing a letter to the Chief Secretary, A & N Administration, Halder said that patients undergoing chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments have reached an alarming level as the Medical Administration Lacks with dedicated and skilled healthcare professionals at the GB Pant Hospital.

He added that “the need for timely resolution of chemo and immunotherapy treatments to the patients is necessary as inadequate care can have significant consequences for the patients' health and recovery”.

Halder stated that the well-being and recovery of cancer patients are at stake and by addressing this critical issue, GB Pant Hospital can continue to be a source of hope and healing for those curing and battling with this devastating disease.

He further requested for immediate necessary steps to appoint additional doctors and nurses at the chemo and immunotherapy unit, as well as providing necessary resources and support to ensure that patients receive the care they desperately need.
