Port Blair, Oct. 27: It has been observed that abandoned vehicles on the roadsides within the Port Blair Municipal area has become a growing concern, creating a multitude of issues for the general public and these discarded vehicles not only cause inconvenience to road users but also pose a significant threat to road safety.

Abandoned vehicles can disrupt the normal flow of traffic, leading to congestion and increasing the likelihood of accidents. Such incidents can result in injuries, even loss of life and making streets less safe for everyone.

The owners of abandoned vehicles are requested to remove their vehicles on the road side else the A&N Traffic Police will remove/tow such vehicles. Additionally, necessary legal actions will be taken against the owners of these abandoned vehicles.

Further, a special drive against traffic violations in and outside Municipal area will be conducted by A&N Traffic Police from next week onwards and the public are once again requested to follow all the traffic rules for the safety of all. Violators will be prosecuted as per law.
