On the auspicious occasion of Foundation Day of UT of Jammu and Kashmir & UT of Ladakh on 31st October, 2023, I extend my warmest greetings and best wishes to the people of these territories residing in A & N Islands.

The UT of Jammu and Kashmir & Ladakh were established on 31st October, 2019. As we celebrate heritage and the unique connections that bind those territories and these Islands, reflect upon the remarkable ties that exist between these two beautiful regions of our great nation.

The picturesque landscapes, serene beaches, and lush forests of our Islands resonate with the tranquil beauty of Jammu and Kashmir, while the rugged terrains of Ladakh find their reflection in the rugged terrains of our Islands. Our shared commitment to preserve the environment and embracing sustainable practices further strengthens the bond between our territories.

Both Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Jammu and Kashmir, along with Ladakh, have faced unique challenges and triumphs. Our collective journey towards progress, unity, and diversity continues to be a source of inspiration for all. We have seen the strength and resilience of our people in times of adversity, and together, we have emerged stronger.

As we celebrate your Foundation Day, let us remember the shared values of brotherhood, unity, and diversity that connect us. May our continued efforts in preserving our unique cultures, traditions, and the spirit of 'Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat' guide us towards a future of peace, progress, and prosperity.

I wish all the residents of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh living in Andaman and Nicobar Islands a joyous and harmonious Foundation Day celebration. Let us come together to cherish our shared history and look forward to a brighter and more connected future.
