Port Blair, Oct. 30: The Tourism Department as an initiative to promote, foster sustainable and responsible tourism practices with a commitment towards preserving the environment and supporting local communities will be organising a comprehensive awareness and sensitization program for tourism stakeholders, unemployed youth/candidates on 2nd November, 2023 in the Committee Hall, Murugan Temple, Shaheed Dweep.
This program aims to educate and engage the tourism stakeholders, unemployed youth, professionals, local communities, and travellers in understanding the importance of responsible tourism and its positive impact on both the environment and the local economy. It seeks to address the growing concerns surrounding the environmental, cultural, and social implications of tourism while encouraging all stakeholders to play a proactive role in ensuring the long-term viability of destinations.
Interested tourism stakeholders, unemployed youth/candidates can register with the In-charge, Tourism Department at Shaheed Dweep or Pradhan, Neil Kendra, Shaheed Dweep by 1st November, 2023.
