Port Blair, Nov. 16: Ms Rini Roselin Y, a young chess player from Port Blair, achieves the title of Arena Candidate Master (ACM). She is the first Girl chess player from Andaman & Nicobar Islands to attain the FIDE Arena title.

ACM Rini Roselin Y, a Class XI student of KV 1 Port Blair, has been awarded the Arena Candidate Master (ACM) title by the World Chess Federation yesterday for her outstanding performance in the FIDE Online Arena (FOA). The FIDE Online Arena is the official playing platform of the International Chess Federation (FIDE).

Arena Candidate Master (ACM) is achieved through a series of 150 bullet games, 100 blitz games or 50 Online Rapid games with a performance rating of over 1100 and the title is valid for life, with the acquisition of a higher title superseding any title reference of a lower status.
