Port Blair, Nov. 17: The Andaman Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee President, Shri. Rangalal Halder has requested the A&N Administration for regular shipping and Helicopter services at Rangat, Mayabunder and Diglipur, particularly in light of the deplorable condition of NH-4 road.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Halder said that the completion of NH-4 road is a crucial infrastructure development, but until its fruition, the residents are experiencing significant inconveniences in accessing their essential and emergency services.

He stated that the existing shipping services from Port Blair to Rangat also poses challenges as the route touches the Swaraj Dweep Island with all of the tourists, limiting the advantages of these services for the residents of Rangat.

He added that, considering the urgency of emergency services, the availability of regular helicopter services would greatly alleviate the difficulties faced by the residents during this transitional period.

He requested for immediate attention in these matters to ensure the provision of regular shipping and Helicopter services that directly cater to the needs of Rangat, Mayabunder and Diglipur residents.
