Port Blair, Nov. 27: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested intervention from the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration for early release of scholarship amounts for all the students studying in Mainland India.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, the Member of Parliament appreciated the Andaman & Nicobar Administration for providing scholarship support to students studying outside the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. This financial assistance, especially for food costs and other associated expenses, he said, has been a lifeline for many students, particularly those pursuing education in Mainland India.

The Member of Parliament said that the scholarship disbursements have been halted for the past year. This delay is causing immense hardship for the students who heavily rely on this support for their studies. “For some, this financial aid is crucial, and without it, they face huge challenges in meeting their educational expenses,” he added.

In this regard the Member of Parliament requested the intervention of the Chief Secretary for the early release of scholarship amounts for all the students studying in Mainland India.
