Port Blair, Dec. 5: On 04/12/2023, acting on a specific intelligence input received from reliable source, a Police team comprising of Inspector Vishal Ram, SHO PS Central Crime Station, SI Parvash, Head Constable Sanjit Madhu & Sanjay Kujur and Constables N. Thangaraj & K. Rajendran of PS CCS conducted raid at Hotel ACC, Mohanpura and seized 7.246 Kgs of Ganja from the possession of Animesh Ezzedder, R/o Nabagram, Kalighat and Bacha Das R/o Subhash Gram, Diglipur who were staying in a private hotel in Mohanpura. They were arrested on the spot following due procedure.

The raid took place under the command of Dy. SP (CID) and under overall supervision of Shri Rajeev Ranjan, IPS, SP (CID).

A case under relevant sections of NDPS Act-1985 has been registered at PS CCS and investigation is in progress. Accused Animesh Ezzedder was also previously arrested in another NDPS case of PS Kalighat for recovery of 4.174 Kgs Ganja.
