Port Blair, Dec. 7: The Andaman and Nicobar Command (ANC) celebrated the 75th Armed Forces Flag Day with a spectacular ceremony at Brichgunj Military Station. In a poignant tribute to the unwavering bravery and sacrifice of our armed forces, a majestic 108 feet high mast National Flag was proudly hoisted at the heart of the Military Station.

Air Marshal Saju Balakrishnan, AVSM, VM, Commander-in-Chief Andaman and Nicobar Command (CINCAN), inaugurated the monumental 108 ft flag. In addition to senior officers of the ANC, Maj Gen Ashim Kohli (Retd), CEO of Flag Foundation of India was also present during the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, the Commander-in-Chief, Andaman and Nicobar Command (CINCAN), said, the way National flag represents “Unity in Diversity” of our country, ANC is an apt example of synergy, jointness and integration of all four services operating in a challenging environment. He also expressed the gratitude to Flag Foundation of India for extending support towards the installation of the National Flag at Port Blair.

The flag hoisting ceremony was followed by an inspiring 'Shaurya Samaroh’, featuring enthusiastic participation from NCC Cadets, school children and a captivating Khukri Dance. The ANC troops added a musical touch to the event with a scintillating band performance.

This commemoration not only symbolizes the exceptional courage and indomitable spirit of our armed forces but also underscores the collective commitment to safeguarding our nation.
