During the visit at Laxmipur Gram Panchayat area, CPI (M) leaders were informed by the villagers that despite repeated requests and representations to the Administration, the steel bridge at Ward No. 3 which is in a very dangerous position, is not being replaced with a concrete bridge.  Heavy vehicles are not allowed to pass through the bridge because of which the villagers are facing inconvenience. Secretary CPI (M) and other leaders were also taken to the incomplete road from Maurice Tikrey to Stone Quarry where 24 houses under the PMAY (Rural) are proposed to be constructed and 8 families are already staying in the area.

The Secretary, CPI (M) was also shown the deplorable condition of the road from 11 Family Jn to Dungi Ghat in Ward No.1 of Laxmipur. It was noticed that one culvert along the road is in a dangerous condition and allowing vehicular movement over the culvert will lead to any accident of falling into the deep nallah. Bus service to the village has already been discontinued due to the unsafe condition of the culvert. More than 60 families are using this road.
