Port Blair, Dec. 26: In continuation to the earlier press release dated 01.12.2023, 11.12.2023 & 16.12.2023 wherein, the Department of CS&CA has extended the last date for doing e-KYC upto 29th February, 2024 for the benefit of the left out ration card beneficiaries. Hence, all the left out Ration Card beneficiaries (APL/PHH & AAY) who have not yet completed their e-KYC due to any reason are once again requested to contact any of their nearest Fair Price Shop along with their Aadhaar numbers to get e-KYC done for all the members listed in the ration card.
Ration Card beneficiaries can also approach the Directorate of CS&CA, Port Blair or their respective Supply Units for completing their e-KYC.
Further, it has been reported that some of the beneficiaries are not able to complete their e-KYC as the device is unable to read their finger prints due to old age, children below 12 years or for any other reason. All such beneficiaries have been requested to get their Aadhaar biometric updated at the Aadhaar enrolment center in Directorate of Civil Supplies & Consumer Affair, Port Blair or any Aadhaar enrolment center in their respective tehsils.
FPS owners have once again been requested not to deny e-KYC whether the card holder is from any Fair Price Shop. FPS owners have also been strictly directed not to deny ration articles for simple reason that the cardholder has not done e-KYC.
