Port Blair, Jan 2: The 2nd General Body meeting of Andaman & Nicobar Islands Medical Education and Research Society (ANIMERS) was held today at Raj Niwas in the presence of Admiral D K Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.), Hon’ble Lt. Governor, A & N Islands & Vice Chairman, Islands Development Agency. President of the General Body is the Hon’ble Lt. Governor, A&N Islands.
The meeting was attended by Shri Keshav Chandra, Chief Secretary, A & N Administration, Members of the Society and Senior Officers of A&N Administration. Strengthening of services in ANIIMS established by ANIMERS under A&N Administration, creation of posts, RRs were discussed. The General Body was also apprised on the performance of G B Pant Hospital wherein high end intervention cardiology procedures are being performed with great success. Initiatives have been taken in the hospital for patient feedback system, strengthening of cancer diagnostic and management services, quality assurance of labs/ services and implementation of Kayakalp.
