Port Blair, Jan 7: Applications have been invited from the eligible Other Backward Classes & EBC students to apply online fresh & renewal application for the following Scholarship Schemes as per the timelines given below:
Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme to OBC Students
Last date for application submission: 31st January 2024
Last date for INO Level Verification: 20th February 2024
Last date for Second Level Verification: 01st March, 2024
The Ministry has revised the guidelines of Pre-Matric OBC scholarship and only the students of IXth and Xth class are eligible for Pre-Matric OBC scholarship. The amount of scholarship also has been revised to Rs.4000/. Students have also requested to see the updated revised guidelines in NSP Portal.
Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme to OBC Students
Last date for application submission: 31st January 2024
Last date for INO Level Verification: 20th February, 2024
Last date for Second Level Verification: 01st March, 2024
The Ministry has revised the amount of Post-Matric scholarship in the range of Rs.5000/- to Rs.20000/-. Students are also requested to see the updated revised guidelines in NSP Portal.
Dr. Ambedkar Post Matric Scholarship for Economically Backward Class Students-Andaman

The Ministry has revised the amount of Dr Ambedkar Post Matric Scholarship for Economically Backward class students in the range of Rs.5000/- to Rs.20000/-. Students have also been requested to see the updated revised guidelines in NSP Portal.
Grant of Additional Scholarship to OBC Students For Pursuing Higher Studies After Class X (Except Class XI & XII)-Andaman And Nicobar

Last date for Second Level Verification: 01st March, 2024
Under this scheme for Grant of Additional Scholarship for OBC Students, an amount of Rs.10000/- per annum is provided.
All eligible students OBC and EBC are hereby advised to apply online on National Scholarship Portal (NSP) through url: https://scholarships.gov.in, under “Head State Scheme - Andaman and Nicobar”, Pre-Matric Scholarship for OBC students and Post-Matric Scholarship to OBC students, Dr Ambedkar Post Matric Scholarship for Economically Backward class students and Grant of Additional Scholarship to OBC students for pursuing Higher Studies after class X (Except Class XI & XII) are advised to choose “Incentive Scheme” under ‘Scheme Type’ drop down box at the time of registration and filling up of the application form. Further, OBC students are also advised to give details of only active bank account which remains in active mode and is compliant as per bank’s instructions so that payment of scholarship does not fail.
