Port Blair, Jan. 18: The National Health Authority, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India has launched the Ayushman App BIS 2.0 as part of the Ayushman Bhav campaign. The app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store by the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) beneficiaries who can create their PMJAY Cards using this app. The PMJAY beneficiaries of A&N Islands having Priority Household (PHH) and Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) categories of Ration Cards can create their PMJAY Cards using this app. The PHH and AAY Ration Card holders can also visit the nearest Health Centres to get their PMJAY Cards created.

The District Health Society, SA in coordination with Health Department, A&N Islands has started the campaign of PMJAY Cards creation for PHH and AAY Ration Card holders under South Andaman District from 18.01.2024 and will continue upto 25.01.2024 at all District Hospitals, Community Health Centre, Primary Health Centre, Urban Health Centre & at Community level by house to house visit.

All the PHH and AAY Ration Card holders have been requested to visit their nearest Health Centres, such as CHCs, PHCs, UHCs and also coordinate with the paramedical staff of Health Department such as CHO, ANM & ASHA Workers to avail the services to create PMJAY Card at their door steps. Eligible PHH and AAY Ration Card holders should carry the Ration Card and Aadhaar Card alongwith an Aadhaar-linked mobile number for the creation of their PMJAY Cards.

The PMJAY eligible beneficiaries can also create the PMJAY Card by registering themselves in the web portal and the procedure of self-registration is as follows:

-Go to the official PMJAY website: https://pmjay.gov.in

-Click on the Am I Eligible tab.

-Enter your mobile number, CAPTCHA code, and click Generate OTP.

-Enter your state and your name, Ration Card number, household number, or mobile number.

-Eligible beneficiaries can fill out the registration form, upload the necessary documents, and complete the process.

All PMJAY beneficiaries are entitled for cashless treatment worth Rs. 5 Lakh per family per year at empanelled hospitals across the country in case of secondary and tertiary care hospitalization.
