Port Blair, Jan 18: In a spirit of unity and celebration, the Andaman & Nicobar Police hosted a vibrant ‘At Home’ function as part of the 72nd Raising Day festivities. The event, held on 18th Jan 2024 was graced by the Hon’ble Lt. Governor, Admiral D.K. Joshi (Retd.) as the chief guest, Shri Nikhil Kumar, I/c Chief Secretary, Director General of Police, Shri Devesh Chandra Srivastva, Shri Sandeep Sandhu, COS, A&N Command along with other dignitaries.

The function commenced with the rendition of the National Anthem, symbolizing the unity and pride that defines the spirit of the Andaman & Nicobar Police. This was followed by the unveiling of a special postal cover, a tangible representation of the A&N Police’s journey and achievements over the 72 years of dedicated service.

The Chief Guest along with the DGP and distinguished guests actively participated in the postal cover unveiling ceremony. The special postal cover encapsulates the essence of the police force’s legacy and commitment to the safety and well-being of the community.

The ceremony concluded with a delightful high tea, various band formations and enchanting performances, fostering an atmosphere of camaraderie and mutual appreciation. Officers, personnel and guests shared moments of reflection and celebration, reinforcing the bonds that unite the Andaman & Nicobar Police with various wings of Administration and respectables.
