Port Blair, Jan. 20: The Department of Sports and Youth Affairs, A&N Administration will be conducting a 3 days Yoga Camp for promoting mental and physical wellbeing amongst the residents of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. In this regard, the Department has invited the general public above the age of 18 years to embark on a transformative journey of yoga, designed to enhance mental and physical wellbeing. The camp will be led by Session Instructors from Education, Police and Health (AYUSH) Department of A&N Administration trained through the prestigious University of Patanjali in Haridwar, the camp shall consist of both morning and evening sessions for 3 days starting from 2nd February, 2024 to 4th February, 2024.

2nd, 3rd and 4th Feb. 2024

Corbyn’s Cove (5.30 am to 7.00 am): Surya Namaskar & Common Protocol: Energizing sequences to invigorate body and mind.Focus on strength, flexibility, and vitality. Mindful breathing techniques for a fresh start to the day.

Marina Park (5.30 pm to 6.30 pm): Chandra Namaskar & Meditation: Calming postures to unwind and release tension. Emphasis on relaxation and mental clarity. Meditation to promote inner peace and balance.

Interested participants have been requested to bring their own yoga mats, water bottles and towels to ensure a comfortable practice. Participants may also wear comfortable attire preferably dress in loose, breathable clothing suitable for yogic movement.
