Port Blair, Jan. 23: The general public have been informed that the 14th National Voters’ Day shall be celebrated at State, District and Booth Level throughout A&N Islands on 25th January, 2024 along with other parts of the country with the theme of ‘Nothing Like Voting, I Vote For Sure’ in view of the upcoming General Election to Lok Sabha -2024, with the aim of maximizing enrolment and building awareness in the run up to such election in this UT also. With the above theme, the activities shall also be taken up to target all segments including women, youths, Persons with Disabilities (PwDs), senior citizens, service voters, besides other marginalized sections of the society.
A massive programme is being launched under SVEEP the flagship programme of Election Commission to create awareness among the eligible voters.
It is appealed to all eligible voters especially the youth who completed 18 years of age, women and physically challenged voters to cast their vote. All voters should also check their entries in the voters list by using Helpline No. 1950 or ECI’s web portal www.nvsp.in
