Port Blair, Jan 30: The foodgrains shall be distributed in advance for 2 months for February, 2024 & March, 2024 in one go in the entire UT in the month of February, 2024. All the Ration Card holders have been informed that they can purchase the foodgrains as per their entitlement for 2 months in February, 2024.
The subsidized sugar will also be distributed to all NFSA households i.e. PHH & AAY @ 1 Kg per card/per month for twelve (12) months (April, 2023 to March, 2024) in one go @ Rs. 30/- (PHH) & Rs. 15/- (AAY) per kg w.e.f. 1st February 2024 onwards.
All such Ration Card holders have been informed to draw the foodgrains as per their entitlement for 2 months in one go between 1st February, 2024 & 31st March, 2024. However, the Ration Card Holders who are not able to lift the ration in the month of February, 2024 can also lift their foodgrains in the month of March, 2024.
