Port Blair, Feb 1: The Andaman Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee President, Shri. Rangalal Halder has highlighted a pressing issue to the Chief Secretary, A & N Administration that revolves around the shortage of essential Ayurvedic medicines at the Ayush Unit of the Community Health Centre in Rangat.

Halder emphasizes that crucial medications, such as tablets for blood pressure, sugar, and other Ayurvedic essentials, are currently unavailable, causing distress to residents who rely on these medicines.

He said that given the limited healthcare options in Rangat, the Ayush Unit holds significance in providing accessible medical care and this shortage hampers the ability to fulfill this role and jeopardizes the health of the residents.

He stressed that the residents heavily depend on the Ayush Unit for healthcare, making it crucial to ensure uninterrupted access to necessary medications.

He further requested the Administration to take immediate steps to replenish Ayurvedic medicines in Rangat, addressing the current inconvenience and safeguarding the health of the local population.
