Port Blair, Feb 2: The District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) in collaboration with HumaneTouch NGO successfully organized a one-day awareness training program on Mental Health and Moral Values and Ethics for trainees at DIET, Garacharma. The event took place on January 31, 2024, commencing at 9:30 am at the DIET Auditorium.

The program commenced with a warm welcome extended by Smti. Sheela Devi, faculty at DIET, embracing all the attendees with a spirit of openness and learning. Following the welcome address, Mr. M Nehru, Principal of DIET, graced the gathering with his insightful thoughts and encouragement.

Mr. P Mujib Rehman, the Working President of HumaneTouch, took the stage to introduce HumaneTouch NGO and shed light on its significant contributions to society, particularly in the domains of education, health, and Anti- drugs and alcoholism.

Mrs. Sajida Bano, Principal of DAP School, delivered a compelling address on the importance of mental health and its urgent needs, emphasizing the significance of nurturing well-being in educational settings.

The event further enriched with a thought-provoking video documentary titled "Minds Matter," presented by HumaneTouch, which captivated the audience's attention and sparked meaningful conversations on mental health.

Mrs. Ayushi Pal, Research Scholar from Pondicherry University, brought her expertise to the gathering, enlightening attendees on moral values and ethics, laying the groundwork for ethical and principled conduct in educational and personal spheres.

The program culminated with heartfelt gratitude expressed by Shri. Govind Raju, a faculty member at DIET, as he extended the vote of thanks to all participants, organizers, and contributors for making the event a resounding success.
