Education Department Launches ‘Mission Margdarshan’ – A Comprehensive Career Guidance & Counselling Programme for Students of Class X & XII

Port Blair, Feb 2: Fuelling the aspirations of young minds, the Education Department yesterday launched ‘Mission Margdarshan 2024’, a comprehensive career guidance & counselling program for class 10th and 12th students at the TGCE auditorium. Smt. Pallavi Sarkar, IAS, Secretary (Education) appraised the students about the significance of ‘Mission Margdarshan 2024’. Emphasizing the importance of informed decision-making, the Secretary encouraged students to explore their potential and make well-rounded choices for their future careers.

Shri C. Arvind, Secretary (Personnel), A & N Administration delved into the crucial topic of ‘Stress Management’. Through an interactive session, among the students of Govt. Model Sr. Secondary School, Rabindra Bangla Vidyalaya, Govt. Boys Sr. Secondary School and GDMS (Secondary), he inspired/equipped students with practical strategies to manage stress during exams and in their academic journey. Additionally, faculty from the Department provided valuable tips on acing CBSE examinations, offering crucial guidance and boosting student confidence.

Shri Aditya Kumar Jha, Director (Education) highlighted the program's commitment to guiding young minds. The Director expressed confidence that the diverse sessions would equip students with valuable insights and empower them to navigate their educational and career paths effectively.

The program transcended physical boundaries by utilizing virtual technology and witnessed the participation of around 250 students, teachers, and Education Department officials. All schools across the Islands actively participated online, ensuring every student of class 10 & 12 had access to the valuable guidance offered.
