Port Blair, Feb 4: On 04.02.2024, the Rangat Police executed a swift and efficient operation. They successfully confiscated a substantial quantity of Lehan in the dense forest of Kalsi, under the jurisdiction of PS Rangat.

Acting swiftly on a tip, ASI Muthu, I/C PS Rangat formed a specialized team consisting of PC/982 Pranab Halder and PC/1696 K. Sameer. The proactive team successfully seized a significant quantity of 120 liters of illicit liquor, along with containers, various utensils, and timber materials used in the production process. These materials were discreetly hidden within the jungle of Kalsi, Bakultala. Subsequently, all confiscated items were promptly destroyed, dealing a major blow to the illegal liquor manufacturing network.

The operation was carried out under the vigilant supervision of Shri. Rahul L. Nair, IPS, SDPO Rangat, and the overall direction and supervision of Ms. Geetanjali Khandelwal, IPS, Superintendent of Police, N&M Andaman District.
