Port Blair, Feb 11: The third round of Hon'ble Prime Minister’s nationwide 'Grand Rozgar Mela' will be organized on 12th February, 2024 at 10.30 am at 46 different locations all over India spread over different States and UTs for distribution of Offers/Letters of Appointment to nearly 1 lakh job seekers.

In this series, as part of the National Programme, the UT Administration of Andaman & Nicobar Islands will also organize the third 'Grand Rozgar Mela' at 9.15 am at the historic Netaji Stadium to distribute Offers of Appointment for various posts of Group 'C' & Group 'B (NG)' level under different Departments of A&N Administration.

Shri Narendra Modi ji, Hon'ble Prime Minister of India will distribute 2721 no. of Offer of Appointment Letters to the selected candidates virtually (through Video Conferencing) belonging to this UT which is again going to be the highest number of Govt. Jobs offered by any State/UT in the country.

Shri Som Parkash, IAS (Retd.) Hon'ble Minister of State for Commerce and Industry will be the chief guest and Admiral D K Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.) Hon'ble Lt. Governor, A&N Islands and Vice-Chairman, Islands Development Agency will be the guest of honour.

Further, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Hon'ble Member of Parliament, A&N Islands and Shri Keshav Chandra, IAS, Chief Secretary, A&N Administration and other dignitaries will also grace the occasion.

Here, it is worth mentioning that during the First Rozgar Mela held on 26.09.2023, 865 Offers of Appointment were distributed. Similarly, during the Second Rozgar Mela held on 30.11.2023, 258 Offers of Appointments were distributed to the un-employed youth, which is amongst the highest number of jobs given during the Rozgar Melas, nationwide.

The selected candidates will attend the 'Hon'ble PM's Rozgar Mela' to be held at Netaji Stadium on 12th February, 2024 (Monday) and 2721 number of selected candidates will receive the Offer of Appointment letters during the occasion. Candidates along with their parents/relatives have been requested to be seated at the venue by 8.30 am positively.

In this regard, for the convenience of the candidates, two assembly points have been created, at Govt. Girls Sr. Sec. School near Ram Krishna Mission (For candidates belonging to Education, Electricity and Police Department) and Dr. BR Ambedkar Auditorium near PBMC Head Office (For candidates belonging to all other Departments). The candidates have been requested to reach the 02 assembly points by 6:30 am sharp. They will be served with light refreshments. The Nodal Officers from various Departments will coordinate and facilitate their movement to the venue.
