Port Blair, Feb 12: The Andaman & Nicobar Administration in association with the Hoteliers Association of A & Nicobar Islands has successfully organized one of the annual calendar events ‘Tuffman Island Ultra & Half Marathon Andaman (4th Edition)’ powered by SeaShell Hotel Resort Spa on 11th February 2024 at Netaji Stadium. The event stands as a significant milestone for the islands, promoting the spirit of sportsmanship, eco-tourism and healthy lifestyle.
Tuffman is India's premiere endurance sports platform bringing Running, Cycling and Swimming events to sports & fitness enthusiasts. The sponsor of Tuffman Island Ultra & Half Marathon Andaman (4th Edition) 2024 are TSG Hotels & Resorts, Makruzz, J Hotel and Diviyum Manor, Fit India, Skin Elements Zapbuild, Pixstory, Toyota & TCI Seaways.
The race commenced & concluded at Netaji Stadium, Port Blair for all the race categories covering race distances – 50K | 30K | 21K | 10K | 5K | 3K. The 50K event was flagged off at Netaji Stadium at 12:00 am on 11th February 2024 followed by other race distance. A total of over 650 runners participated in all the six categories. The race course is a loop of 10 Kms (5 kms out & 5 kms back) which covered scenic routes of Marina Park, Andaman Club, Flag Point, Corbyn’s Cove Beach with lush green landscapes and coconut trees. Tuffman Trophies were presented to the first 3 Podium Finishers in both Men & Women, from each run category.
