Port Blair, Feb 13: The National Commission for the Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) is a statutory body constituted under section 3 of the Commission of Protection of Child Rights (CPCR) Act 2005 to protect the rights of the children. The Commission functions by addressing the issues that relates to children and with an aim to create an environment wherein children are able to grow without any threat to their safety and well-being.

The Commission celebrates Pariksha Parv every year to celebrate exams along with children. Celebration of Pariksha Parv among children, parents and teachers is to change the outlook towards exam stress and overcome the anxiety before exam results.

Keeping in view, the Children’s right to participation, the Commission plans to involve more children in this program. Series of activities are sought by the Commission such as small audio – video messages of 60 seconds from students on the theme “EXAM WARRIOR” which shall be uploaded through NCPCR website link (http://parikshaparv.in). The link is live from 01/02/24 to 20/02/24 for children/students of classes 6th to 12th .       An online Quiz containing multiple choice questions based on the chapters in the book- EXAM WARRIORS will be organized through Commission website link (https://examwarriorsquiz.ncpcrweb.in/). The link is made live from 1-02-24 onwards. An e-certificate will be generated at the end of the quiz.

The Commission has also made the provision of Tele Counselling-SAMVEDNA (18001212830), toll free number, wherein a team of qualified and trained Experts/ Counsellors are available for providing psycho-social support to the children by addressing their stress, anxiety, fear and other psycho sociological issues experienced by children during the examination period.

The District Child Protection Unit (SA) under district administration urges the children to participate in the activities designed by NCPCR and utilize the provision of Tele Counseling by accessing the toll free number 18001212830 to seek help as and when required.
