Port Blair, Feb 20: In a concerted effort to promote health and hygiene, the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation spearheaded a successful cleanliness drive at G.B. Pant Hospital in Port Blair on February 18, 2024 from 8 am to 10.30 am.

With a firm commitment to community welfare, volunteers from the foundation undertook various cleanliness activities in the hospital premises. The initiative aimed to create a clean and hygienic environment conducive to patient care and recovery.

A simple function was chaired by the Director of ANIIMS, Dr. Pragya Sharma, and Dr. Palak, Nodal Officer of ANIIMS Port Blair, was also present at this function.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Pragya Sharma expressed her sincere gratitude towards the mission volunteers for their commendable effort in taking up the responsibility of cleaning hospitals.

The cleanliness drive, part of the foundation's ongoing social initiatives, witnessed enthusiastic participation from volunteers, they worked tirelessly to clean hospital corridors, wards, and outdoor areas, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for patients, visitors, and healthcare workers.

Shri Satya Narayan, Sector Incharge, Sant Nirankari Mandal, A&N Islands welcomes the dignitaries and thanked to the gathering. He said that the pollution inside or outside both are harmful to the society. He also emphasized the importance of collective action in fostering a cleaner and healthier society. "Cleanliness is not just a habit but a responsibility towards our community's well-being," they remarked. "By coming together and taking proactive steps to maintain cleanliness, we can contribute to better healthcare outcomes and overall public health."
