Port Blair, Feb 25: In view of the upcoming General Election to Lok Sabha 2024, various meetings were held under the Chairmanship of Returning Officer, ANIPC Ms. Veditha Reddy, IAS in the conference hall of the Office of Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman with various Departments like Excise, Income Tax, Police, Bank, Postal Service yesterday. The meeting was also attended by Nodal Officers of EVMs, IT, Expenditure Monitoring Management teams.

During the meeting, election preparedness with respect to pre-poll arrangements and poll preparedness were discussed. Similarly, a briefing meeting on Vulnerability Mapping of Polling Stations was conducted under the chairmanship of Nodal Officer (EVMs & VVPATs)/AC(SA), Shri Vinayak Chamadia, IAS with Sector Officers and Sector Police Officers for South Andaman District today at TGCE Auditorium

To ensure the receipt of the orders to polling personnel’s, a meeting under the Chairmanship of Officer-In-Charge (Elections), Shri Anand Vardhan Mishra with the Tehsildars was held today in the Conference hall of the office of Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman.

Further, as per the schedule of the Election Commission of India, dry run of first and second randomization processes on the demo server of EVM Management System 2.0 was successfully conducted today.

The Chief Electoral Officer, A&N Islands, Shri. B. S. Jaglan, IAS in a press release stated that election machinery is fully geared up for ensuing General Election-2024.
