Port Blair, March 7: In a significant move towards improving police efficiency, Shri. Devesh Chandra Srivastva, IPS, Director General of Police, A&N Islands inaugurated an important initiative towards by digitalization N&M Andaman district Police virtually today.

The DGP inaugurated E-Malkhana system across all Police Stations of the North & Middle Andaman District. The E-Malkhana system introduces digitalization to the management of case properties stored at malkhanas of Police Stations. With the implementation of this system, accessing details of case properties stored at the police malkhana becomes more efficient and convenient. Through the use of QR codes, authorized personnel can easily retrieve information about case properties with a simple scan. This streamlined approach not only improves accessibility but also enhances transparency and accountability in the handling of case properties.

The DGP commended and lauded the dedicated efforts of Ms. Geetanjali Khandelwal, IPS, Superintendent of Police, N&MA District and expressed optimism about the potential impact of the E-Malkhana system on police operations. "The introduction of the E-Malkhana system marks a significant leap forward in our efforts to modernize police infrastructure," stated the DGP. "By embracing digitalization, we aim to optimize resource management and provide better service to the community."
