Port Blair, March 8: The Central Committee and South Andaman Teachers' Branch of the Non-Gazetted Government Officers' Association, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, express gratitude towards Andaman and Nicobar Administration and Education Department for their recent concerted efforts in filling numerous long-vacant promotional posts for Principal, Vice Principal, Head Master (Middle), and Head Master (Primary) alongwith direct recruitment of teachers, which is a significant step forward for the overall development of school education in the islands.

These positions, crucial for effective school leadership and management of the institution, had remained unfilled for several years, negatively impacting the school system and hindering the quality of education offered in government schools.

The Non-Gazetted Government Officers' Association had advocated for this issue for years, urging the filling of all Head of Institution positions in government schools. We commend the tireless efforts of the Officers in Administration, including the Chief Secretary, Secretary (Education), and Director (Education), for bringing this long-standing concern to a successful resolution.
