Diglipur, March 17: During an ongoing anti-poaching operation in the jurisdiction of PS Kalighat, the anti-poaching team was actively searching for foreign poachers in the forest and creek area of Balli Tikrey, Kishorinagar. It was suspected that more poachers were hiding in this area. The team split into three groups and began combing operations in the deep jungle and creek.

While conducting the combing operation, the team discovered poachers hidden in the deep jungle. The team surprised the poachers and signaled for them to surrender. However, the poachers ignored the police orders and attempted to flee into the jungle. The team swiftly chased after them and successfully apprehended 07 poachers.

All the apprehended poachers have been brought to PS Kalighat and will be handed over to PS CCS for further investigation. The Anti-poaching team continue its search operation for more poachers. This successful operation demonstrates the dedication and effectiveness of the anti-poaching team in their efforts to protect wildlife and combat illegal poaching activities. The exemplary bravery shown by the anti-poaching team have been lauded and they will be suitably rewarded

The general public and fisherman who are venturing in sea are requested to pass and share any credible information pertaining to sighting of foreign boats/nationals to their nearest Police Station or over phone No.100, 112 & 03192-273344. Their identity will be kept secretly and they will be suitability rewarded for their brave act.
